I have to remember, just because I am obsessed with sharks, doesn’t mean everyone else is. For instance, not everyone is familiar with Chum, a mixture of fish blood and guts used to attract sharks. I thought it was a good pun, as chumming is about attraction, but puns are never good, what am I talking about?! This comic is indefensible.
REASON FOR REJECTION: Too corny, chum reference too obscure for dumb people.
This was when those martini drinks were just getting popular, the crantini, the mangotini, the flirtini. What would a fly order? Well, this actually. This is what a fly would order. Unfortunately, this is not what a magazine would order.
REASON FOR REJECTION: Poo poo humor too stupid, fly has incorrect number of arms.
The ‘fly’ may have incorrect no. of wings, but for The Fly he’s perfect! i love it …
But it pays homage to B. Kliban in a such a rad way!

Though I’m not a huge fan of sharks, I do love your ‘chumming’ comic…perhaps this might be a comic to post or shop around during the Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week”–I know people who get into a ‘frenzy’ over that!
